    CHCCS411A Work effectively in the community sector - This unit  of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to work effectively in a community work or service delivery setting with communities, clients, carers, staff, visitors, suppliers and others to meet established work requirement

    CHCICS304A Work effectively with carers  - This unit of competency describes the knowledge and skills required to effectively work with members of families or other non-paid support people e.g. friends and carers, to support quality of life for their family member who is aged or has a disability

    HLTHIR403B Work effectively with culturally diverse clients and co-workers  -  This unit deals with the cultural and linguistic awareness required for effective communication and cooperation with persons of diverse cultures and linguistic needs

  • This unit describes the knowledge and skills required as an introduction to working and communicating with people with a disability

  • This unit reflects skills and knowledge required for working within a community development framework.  A community development framework may include of a range of methods designed to strengthen and develop communities by enhancing individual and group capacity to confidently engage with community structures and to address problems and issues.

    Application of a community development framework may be undertaken within the scope of or in conjunction with a range of work roles/areas in the community services industry including specific areas of service delivery, community education activities and working with groups to address issues.

    CHCCOM302C Communicate appropriately with clients and colleagues

    HLTHIR403B Work effectively with culturally diverse clients and coworkers

    CHCORG303A Participate effectively in the work environment

  • This cluster includes the unit:

    CHCMH301A Work effectively in mental health

  • This unit is part of the Certificate III of Disability, and describes the knowledge and skills required by staff who work in both community and government settings with regards to the administrative procedures of those settings.

    This may be an unit you can RCC or fast-track through, depending on your recent work experience.
